Normal and High Risk Pregnancy

Delivering babies is our favorite part of the job. After having established a long term relationship with a patient, we consider it a tremendous honor to be present for the birth of your child.

Because of the unique design of our call schedule, each of us is usually able to attend the delivery of almost all our patients. The experience is so rewarding for us that we often do our own deliveries whether we are on call or not. Of course, there are always demands on our personal lives that preclude that privilege, but our preference is to be there for you.

We have an unusual amount of high risk patients in our practice. From our training and experience, we are comfortable treating patients with hypertension, diabetes, thrombophilias, multiple gestations, and patients with histories of poor pregnancy outcomes. We also have experience with renal transplant patients. Frequently, a high risk pregnancy will require the advice of subspecialists. We have good working relationships with various perinatal specialists in the area.
